When Nora kindly invited us to stay at Steps Barn, a unique hideaway set in the beautiful Dorset countryside near to the village of Cerne Abbas, it was the perfect opportunity to photograph this gallery style property, with a combination of new and traditional arts, crafts and furniture as well as capturing the local area and iconic locations that made me fall in love with this county many years ago.

Approached by a private tree lined track and set on working farm with parking right outside the property, this three bedroomed converted barn has a rustic ambience, surrounded by woodland and a lovely place to reconnect with nature.

I spent over an hour and a half photographing both the exterior and interior, this was my style of place to capture those little details that as a photographer you know will make an image full of character.
