Brakeburn
As a landscape photographer I tend to spend a lot of time outside and especially with the winter months approaching I need clothing that is going to keep me warm when I am standing in a field before the sun rises with temperatures below zero.
But I also like not to be ladened down with heavy coats because I want to be able to move comfortably. So I was pleased to be asked by Brakeburn clothing brand to wear their insulated jacket. I wore it on my ‘Bison Hill’ shoot recently and again at Ivinghoe Beacon. Lovely quality and nicely styled and the insulation meant that I didn’t have to worry about the wind chill on the top of Bison Hill.
A contemporary British brand, with an active outdoor type of style which I would always go for when buying clothes, I like smart well produced items with that casual look. Selling to approximately 700-800 stores around the UK and now branching out to Europe and New Zealand.
Nick Jackson is the owner of Brakeburn, starting his career in London and now based in Poole, Dorset. It's not just for men either with a lovely collection of clothing and accessories for ladies.
The Insulated Jacket was perfect for my trip to Brighton, where I was spending much of the day photographing on the beach and pier. Despite the sunny conditions, being exposed to the elements for hours, the coldness soon creeps in and I need that warmth to enable me to concentrate on taking photographs without feeling cold and damp and this was the case here.
The lovely people at Brakeburn are offering all my followers 10% off any item on their website, whether you are looking for T shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies or jackets, just use the code GC10 at the checkout, and keep warm and stylish this winter.
